PCTU WELCOMES BOND UNIVERSITY EXPERT TO DELIVER INTERNATIONAL HEALTHCARE SIMULATION TRAINING
Academic Collaboration, Visiting Lecturers

From 22 to 25 June 2026, Phan Chau Trinh University (PCTU) had the honor of welcoming Dr. Jessica Stokes-Parish, Associate Dean (Student Affairs and Service Quality Assurance), Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine, Bond University (Australia), to deliver the National Health Education and Training in Simulation (NHET-SIM) program for PCTU faculty members and clinicians.

The NHET-SIM program is an advanced professional development course in healthcare simulation education, designed to equip participants with foundational knowledge and practical skills in the design, implementation, and evaluation of simulation-based learning activities. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive an internationally recognized certificate issued by Monash University (Australia).

The four-day training program was offered to a select cohort of 13 participants, comprising key faculty members and clinicians from PCTU. The curriculum focused on essential topics in healthcare simulation education, including simulation foundations, scenario design, debriefing methodologies, and quality assurance principles in simulation-based training.

The organization of this international training program reflects PCTU’s strong commitment to enhancing educational quality in line with global standards. It also supports the continued development of the PCTU Simulation Hospital, one of the university’s flagship initiatives in modern clinical skills and healthcare education.

Beyond its academic significance, this program marks another important milestone in the growing partnership between Phan Chau Trinh University and Bond University. Through academic exchange, faculty development, and professional capacity-building initiatives, the two institutions continue to expand opportunities for collaboration aimed at advancing healthcare education to international standards.

The presence of Dr. Jessica Stokes-Parish at PCTU not only provides valuable opportunities for faculty members and clinicians to learn from global best practices in healthcare simulation but also reinforces PCTU’s position in the internationalization of medical education. Through initiatives such as NHET-SIM, PCTU continues to strengthen its mission of developing highly competent healthcare professionals capable of meeting the evolving needs of healthcare systems both in Vietnam and around the world.
