PHAN CHAU TRINH UNIVERSITY PARTNERS WITH APOLLO GROUP IN MEDICAL EDUCATION

On July 4, 2025, at the Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Hyderabad, India, Phan Chau Trinh University (PCTU) signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement in medical education with Apollo Group – one of Asia’s largest private healthcare conglomerates.

This partnership opens up numerous opportunities for collaboration in key areas such as: joint research in medical science and technology, academic exchange for faculty and students, implementation of international-standard medical training programs, and the development of teaching, research, and clinical practice capacities for both institutions.

Dr. Nguyễn Hữu Tùng – Chairman of the Board of Phan Chau Trinh University – and Prof. Dr. K. Manohar – Dean of the Apollo Medical College – jointly signed the memorandum of understanding for cooperation.

Founded in 1983 in India, Apollo is recognized as Asia’s leading private healthcare system, operating over 70 hospitals, more than 5,000 pharmacies, numerous research institutes, and medical training schools across India and other countries. Apollo is distinguished not only by its scale but also by its pioneering role in high-quality healthcare, applied medical education, clinical research, and medical technology transfer.

The signing of this agreement expands international learning, training, and research opportunities for PCTU’s students and faculty, enhancing their professional capabilities and access to advanced medical technologies.

This cooperation lays a strong foundation for PCTU to further develop international joint programs, attract international students, and integrate more deeply into the global network of medical education and research—marking a significant step forward in the internationalization strategy of Vietnamese medical education in general and PCTU in particular.
